We’re ready for Korea

JAKARTA – Indonesia captain Bambang Pamungkas is hoping an extra day’s rest will give his side an advantage over Korea Republic when they face off in their crucial Group D clash at Gelora Bung Karno Stadium this evening.

For over an hour the title looked to have slipped from Real’s grasp as they trailed to a 17th-minute strike from Mallorca’s Fernando Varela, while Barca overpowered Gimnastic.

We will work hard to regain the proper position that Juventus deserves to have – mister Ranieri said –. The project is ambitious and I’m sure that we will be doing a very good job. Supporters can be reassured, they will be proud of what we’ll be doing in Italy and Europe. I didn’t expect this call from Juventus. It arrived last saturday evening. Until than I didn’t received any sort contact for any position. I coudn’t say no, because when Juventus calls and you get such a challenging opportunity you just grab it. Negotiations were under way with Manchester City, but they kept on postponing. Therefore after 15 days of silence, I decided to accept the Juventus call.
